Herbig-Haro 34 and Biblical Cosmic History.

Herbig-Haro 34 is an active star in the Orion Nebula with opposing jets. In this photo, the nearer jet has 13 distinct knots about 30 arc seconds in length that is visible at optical wavelengths. About a 100 arc seconds from either side of the star, we observe two bow shocks as slower gas is ionized by collisions from the jets. The Spitzer infrared telescope revealed the far jet through the dust clouds, which has a similar knot sequence as the nearer jet. Despite this bidirectional symmetry, photographs taken at intervals show that one knot was ejected from the star 4 ½ years before its counterpart in the opposite stream. The fact that the knots spread out, dim and dissipate before reaching the bow shocks suggests that the dust clouds were formed by jets or, in some cases, explosive events.
Astronomers label Herbig-Haro objects as new born stars. New born stars allegedly coalesce from the cloud, growing as the dust gravitates into proto stars. This is similar to claims that galaxies grew by gravitating matter from a “big bang” cloud. The problem with these astronomical theories is that they are mathematical attempts to obfuscate what is visible. We can see with sight that galaxies grew from the insides outward because we can see the past back to the creation era. Galaxies started out as tiny dense, naked objects, often seen in equally spaced chains. Those distant galaxies shone at tiny fractions of the light frequencies of modern atoms. At closer ranges, we see little blue globs (relative to the redder core) emerging in equally spaced chains. At many ranges, we observe that the globs spread out, accelerated out concurrently with the accelerating atomic clocks. In our own galaxy we observe HH stars with collimated, pulsed streams, evidently spreading out into huge clouds of gas. What we see locally fits with what we observe in the ancient universe, that galaxies and stars started out as compact objects and spread out into dusty, spread-out growth structures. It also fits precisely what the Bible states, that God continues to call the stars to come out, that He spreads out the plural heavens like a tent, that He is spreading thin clouds from dense things like molten bronze. Indeed we see a biblical cosmic history with our eyes in the very place God says knowledge of His glory is available to all in the plural heavens (shamayim).

Scientists cannot accept the visible evidence that stars started out as compact objects and intrinsically grew and spread out. This could only happen if matter is changing itself, changing relationally. The structure of western science was built on the opposite assumption - that the properties of matter are NOT intrinsically changing. With this one metaphysical assumption, generations of scientists invented symbolical things like time and mass and operational ways to mathematically “measure” them. Indeed mathematical empiricism was constructed on the assumption that the properties of matter are fixed, not emerging.

Only the simplicity of biblical physics allows one to accept the universe as it is without obfuscating visible reality with mathematical nonsense. The scientific universe is crammed full of invisible matter and magical vacuum processes to protect their blind creed that the properties of matter are not emerging. They actually believe that the standard of truth is measuring and mathematics, even though we can see with our eyes that there are no perpetual motion atoms in billions of ancient galaxies.  Yet their measuring units were contrived with the concept of perpetual motion atoms.

Look at the universe with sight instead of the metaphysics of the pagans. How great will be the triumph of the Word of God over western science, for His great glory!

Evidence for the Biblical Concept of Time

Researchers claim that an Amazonian jungle tribe does not have an abstract concept of time. Amondawa (sometimes spelled Amondaua) live near the Madeira river in western Brazil. They can speak of a sequence of events but they have no independent time-idea or words for month or year. They do not count their birthdays; just change their names as they get older to reflect their changed status. The Amondawa do not have a mental map for moving in space and time (perhaps as they paddle along a river). By contrast we might say, I can drive 10 miles in 20 minutes. Amondawa language also has no passed or future verbs.

Ancient Hebrew, the language for most of the Old Testament, also did not have verb tenses. They only mentioned if something is finished or continuing, without referencing whether these were past or future. Hebrew did have a word for event time, e.g., the time when women draw water from the well (Genesis 24:11). They had a word for set time, e.g., what date will you return (Nehemiah 2:6)? They also had a word for eon time (olam), which could refer to passed or future. (Isaiah 51:9 mentions the planet that was shattered in the days of old, the generations of olam - long ago). Solomon stated that olam (eon time) is in our minds (Ecclesiastes 3:11).

Modern translators render the Old Testament into tensed languages using the context. In some cases, the context is clear. In other cases they translate using tradition. One powerful tradition came from Augustine who claimed God did not create the universe in time, but with time. In Augustine’s opinion, God is outside of time (eternal), seeing all time simultaneously. Nowhere does the original text state anything resembling Augustine’s speculations about time. One speculation is recent, but builds on Augustine’s time-ideas: that time flows linearly.

Imagine that you live in a tiny village in the highlands of ancient Israel. You are acutely conscious of natural signs, stars at sunrise, phases of the moon, migrating birds or budding trees that inform you when to plow, when to plant and when to have a feast day. However, you are not conscious of time. Time is merely a way of counting, a way to assign a number to the sequence of things. Everyone in your village has heard the stories of the crushing of a great planet and planet encounters when cataclysms occurred. You understand, like all people in your culture, that everything is changing, nothing is stable or fixed in nature. Even your calendars are dynamic, constantly adjusted to fit the changing cycles of nature. You are also aware, as all old people are, that life seems slow during youth and speeds up with age. You hear the stories about how your ancestors lived for eons in the great time. Indeed, you have seen in nearby caves the skulls of your ancestors that had great thick brows, as though they lived for geological ages. Imagine that the village Levite read the book of Job out loud. You hear that Job mentioned that the sea (west) dries up as a marker for the length of life in his days. Yet you have never seen the sea dry up, so life must have moved much slower during Job’s days.

You have no need for verb tenses, because no one in your age thinks that time has an actual existence. Everyone thinks that days and years deteriorate and that the earliest people lived in the olam, the eon age. Indeed, your language was inherited from those people who lived in the olam age, whose childhood lasted a hundred years. Such people were not concerned with rushing around in time. They lived for an eon, so the notion of time had little meaning for them.

Simple evidence supports this ancient way of thinking. In 1970, the drill ship Glomar Challenger took core samples from the deep Mediterranean and found that the sea dried repeatedly. Job mentioned that their faces doubled before they die. How did Job know that the bones of our face keep growing with age? If we lived for geological ages, our faces would grow Neanderthal, but our children would not have the thick brows. We find fossils of the old ones with thick brows, while the infant skulls have faces like ours. No one today ages in this way. What causes days and years to keep accelerating throughout history, as the Bible implies in Genesis 47:9?

One of the derivatives of western time ideas is another undetectable thing we call gravity. Somehow remote objects sense and attract each other. Evidence suggests that this attraction is delayed by distance, it does not propagate at infinite speed, as Newton imagined. How can we test between ancient non-linear, non-existent time and modern empirical time. Most scientific empirical measuring units were contrived with notions of clock time. The assumption that atoms dither with perpetual motion is the basis for the length of the meter, velocities, accelerations, orbits, constants and the laws of physics. Yet we can see the past with telescopes. Galactic history is the only history that is visible as it happened long ago. We observe in billions of galaxies at many ranges that atomic clocks run faster the closer they are to earth. Forty years ago we sent calibrated clocks out of the solar system on two spaceships. The clock-controlled radio frequencies from the Pioneers (and other distant spacecraft) changed frequencies in the same way as the atoms in distant galaxies. The farther the Pioneers got from earth, the slower their clocks pulsed relative to NASA's precision clocks of the moment.

The most powerful evidence for non linear time-ideas is the visible history of galaxies. Billions of galaxies started out as tiny naked globs of primordial matter. The atoms in those ancient globs clocked less than 1/10th the frequencies of modern atoms. We observe that not only do clocks accelerate, but orbits also spiral outwards as billions of galaxies grew from tiny, naked globs to great, dusty, growth spirals. What causes “action at a distance?” Perhaps gravity is not a perpetual motion force, effortlessly bending orbits, doing work without changing the properties of matter. Perhaps it arises from the way atoms keep on changing their visible properties throughout cosmic history. Perhaps this is why the primordial Earth was a tiny globe, without major seas, just as one would expect from the literal words of the Bible. Perhaps this is why generations of astronomers kept measuring a decreasing parallax to the Sun, as though the solar system was growing just like the Earth grows.

Why would God make hundreds of billions of galaxies that clearly show the vast antiquity of the cosmos? Wait, you say, the age of the universe is only 6,000 years, according to the text. Indeed the genealogies of the ancients plus modern histories do add up to 6,000 years. Yet we can see with sight that orbits and atoms keep accelerating and changing their properties throughout cosmic history. In the plural heavens, we see His great glory. We can see how utterly and completely He will make foolish science, the system that was founded on the elementary assumption invented by a pagan Greek. The Bible even predicts that mockers will obfuscate the history of the plural heavens with their idea that “all things remain the same.” How great will be the triumph of the Bible over the western system, for His great glory.

Biblical Physics in the Crab Nebula

Chinese astronomers detected the explosion that formed the Crab Nebula in the year 1054. Their records show that the reddish-white “guest star” was visible in daylight for 23 days and faded from the night skies almost two years later. In the center of the nebula, we see an active pulsar that flashes every 33 milliseconds. The Crab is also bright with gamma and X-rays. In September 2010 and in April 2011 the Crab flared intensely in gamma rays. The Chandra X-ray telescope did not detect any X-ray changes around the pulsar during the two April flares. Astronomers claim the April flare happened 6,500 years ago, since it took that long for the light from the Crab to reach Earth.

Modern Christians often struggle with evidence from distant stars since the biblical genealogies added to classical histories equal only 6,000 years. Ancient people had no problems accepting a very old universe which had existed for only a few dozen generations. They could reason, measure and use numbers, but not within the framework of scientific empiricism because the key to a mathematical science had not been invented during the Old Testament era. The ancients saw the whole of nature as changing. They sought for the rhythms in nature, when to plow and when to plant. However, the rhythms were not linear. They believed their ancestors had lived in the great time when days and years were vastly longer than present ones (Genesis 47:9). Indeed we find the skulls of the old ones with great thick brows. The bones of our face keep on gradually growing and thickening as we age. If we lived for geological ages our faces would become Neanderthal. Job mentioned the geological markers for the length of life during the age of dinosaurs. He said their faces doubled, changed radically, before they died (Job 14).

Creation contains an important principle of biblical physics that verifies the world view of the ancients. The Bible states that the first thing Elohim created (completed action verb) was the entire plural heavens and the Earth. (The entirety of creation, everything from a to z, is shown by an untranslated word in the Hebrew text, the first and last letters of the Hebrew alphabet). Perhaps Elohim created “godparticles” first, but they were not extended in space, since the earth was dark and without form. Then the wind of Elohim vibrated over the formless darkness and continued to command light to continue to be. The Hebrew uses imperfect (incomplete action) verbs for God’s commanding and His commands. Evidently He continued to give form to matter as a relation with light as He continues to command light to be.

A modern Christian might claim, He finished the heavens and the earth, all the host of them, in six days. The verb in Genesis 2:1 is pual imperfect. The pual expresses the passive of an intentional or intensive action. He passively finished the intentional and intensive actions of creating the hosts of Heaven by commanding - in six evenings and mornings. The verb finished is imperfect, an incomplete action. How can something be finished even as it continues to be finishing. You might say the intense work of planting a garden is finished. Yet you continue to work in the garden: watering, weeding, supporting, pruning etc. God is still changing the heavens and the Earth. According to the Bible, He calls the stars to come out in unbroken continuity. He spreads out the plural heavens like a continually spreading tent. He places the Sun, Moon and stars in the raqiya shamayim, the spreading places in the plural heavens. He continues to spread clouds in the sky - poured out like bronze - in unbroken continuity (Job 37:18). He even spreads out the Earth in unbroken continuity, according to the Bible. Indeed, the continents fit together on a tiny glob without major seas, just as expected from the Hebrew scriptures.

What causes tiny point sources to suddenly flare and shoot out jets of matter? Why does matter keep on visibly changing its properties throughout cosmic history? Why has the earth doubled in size as the continents were separated by expanding oceans? The answer is another simple principle of biblical physics. The Bible plainly states that the creation is enslaved to change (Romans 8:21 -22). We observe the very acts of creation spelled in Genesis as light gives form to matter. We also observe at many ranges, how distinct globs of matter came out in equally spaced chains from the dense cores of ancient galaxies. We observe that these globs spread out into huge dusty nebulas in nearby galaxies. The atoms in the most ancient galaxies clocked tiny fractions of the light frequencies of modern matter. The attributes of matter, the space it takes up, its inertial properties and its dithering clock frequencies all change together, relationally, as the stars accelerate outwards. The matter relation clearly involves light, just like the Bible states, that “all that is visible IS LIGHT” Ephesians 5:13.

What is happening in the center of the Crab is just like what happens in the center of the Earth or in the center of countless galaxies. Matter continues to take form, spreading out steadily. Sometimes it changes its attributes violently as it takes on form as a relation with light. Scientists cannot accept the visible history of the universe because science was founded on a single assumption: that the properties of matter are fixed, not emerging. They make up stories about rotating black holes and invisible companion stars that allegedly caused the jets. The pulsar in the center of the Crab has an X-ray jet oblique to our view. In radio and X-rays, a much larger jet with spaced out globs is moving outward opposite from the nearer jet. Why have they filled the universe up with four times as much undetectable matter as the natural kind? Why do scientists speculate that the vacuum of space time stretches light, bends the orbit of earth and is filled with an invisible energy that accelerates the spreading vacuum? Their mathematical reasoning was built on a single assumption, that the properties of matter are fixed, not emerging. Even their definitions and measuring units depend on the notion that atoms dither with perpetual motion.

We can be sure that the Bible will vanquish western science, making foolish the wise of this age, because we can see a biblical cosmic history with sight. What could cause billions of galaxies to spread out into huge growth spirals? Biblical physics explains why in simple non mathematical terms. The properties of matter are always observed to change relationally throughout cosmic history.

The Creator is a great Judge. He will make foolish the wise of this age (scientists) just like He promised - for His glory. Yet He will save all who put their confidence in Jesus’ death and resurrection for sins. Carefully examine the first principle of science, the idea that all things remain the same, with which they obfuscate the visible history of how the stars came out long ago (oranoi esan ekpalai 2 Peter 3:3 - 6).

Comparison between Scriptural and Biblical Physics

The early Greek philosophers used the word phusis (physics) for nature, especially growing things. Later, Aristotle defined it as the “principle and cause of motion” (Physics II, 193a), which is not much different from its modern sense. The New Testament uses phusis fourteen times for nature, natural, physical, race or species. It never uses the word in its modern sense. I use the phrase “biblical physics” in the modern sense as a method for interpreting earth history using principles spelled out in the Bible. Victor's answer:
I agree with Brian on principles #1 and #4. With respect to #2, the Bible limits man’s ability to understand “the work which God has done from the beginning even to the end (Ecclesiastes 3:11).” Yet knowledge is available in one place - the shamayim and the raqiya (the galaxies - Psalm 19:1 - 2). I disagree with principle #3 in which he claims invisible evidence supports principles that he does specify. He is not alone in claiming invisible evidence. Scientists speculate that the universe contains four times as much invisible matter as the natural kind. Indeed the scientific universe is 99% invisible because of their faith in carefully protected principles that they do not explicitly state.

In contrast, the Bible states that light reveals the truth and exposes error because all that is visible IS LIGHT (phos estin Ephesians 5:13). A child can see that light and matter are related. The Hebrew for Genesis 1:2 states that the earth had no form until God continued to command light to continue to be. Evidently light dithers around in matter, giving it the ability to take up space.

“The  methodology of Scriptural Physics is largely inductive instead of deductive. That is, it proceeds inferentially from particular to general. It begins with specific facts and then tries to infer powerful principles that would encompass these facts and perhaps predict the existence of other phenomena yet undiscovered.  In this regard, Scriptural Physics is rather ordinary, and not unlike the so-called scientific method, or even just plain old common sense.”

Victor’s Answer:
Induction cannot use specifics to arrive at general principles without depending on principles that are accepted by faith. As Hume pointed out, inductive conclusions require that we accept “that the course of nature continues always uniformly the same.” (Hume, Treatise on Human Nature, III, vi.) This principle cannot be proved without circularly using the assumption in the “proof.”

Modern empiricists presuppose that the properties of matter are not emerging, not changing relationally. Using this assumption, and apart from observed facts, they construct their definitions, methodologies, mathematics, laws of physics, constants and Earth histories. The primary scientific measuring unit is the “second” that is allegedly linear because cesium atoms supposedly dither with perpetual motion. We see the past in distant galaxies. Not  a single ancient galaxy shone with the frequencies of modern atoms. When we sent the Pioneer spacecraft out of the solar system, their clock controlled radio frequencies continued to slow (relative to NASA’s clocks-of-the-moment) the farther they receded from Earth.

What I call biblical physics is deductive in nature, based on principles clearly spelled out in the Bible. The Bible states that the creation is enslaved to change (Greek phthora - Romans 8:21 - 22). Changing Earth Creationists use this principle to propose earth histories that agree with the genealogies and astronomical accounts of our ancestors. By focusing first on basic principles, CEC also expose the speculative assumption upon which scientific reasoning was constructed. Peter predicted that in the last days mockers would obfuscate (Greek lanthano) the history of the plural heavens with the idea that all things remain the same (2 Peter 3:3 - 6).

The most powerful evidence for biblical physics is the history of how the galaxies formed. Billions of galaxies visibly grew from tiny naked globs to great, dusty growth spirals as the properties of all matter keep on changing. What is visible agrees with the creation account. Elohim places the Sun, Moon and stars in the raqiya shamayim, the spreading places in the plural heavens. He calls the stars to come out in unbroken continuity. He is spreading out the plural heavens in unbroken continuity. In the spreading places (raqiya) in the plural heavens (shamayim - the galaxies), knowledge is available to all of His glory. Visible galactic history clearly exposes the blind faith of western scientists. Their supposedly inductive system was deduced from their faith that the properties of matter are fixed, not emerging relationally.

Changing Earth Creationists focus on the evidences that the Bible mentions. For example, the Bible states three times that the Earth spreads out in unbroken continuity. We see that the continents are separated by expanding oceans that continually spread at a great global expansion seam. Indeed, the continents only fit together on a minuscule planet without major oceans, just as one would expect from the Scriptures. The theory of subduction is clearly a scientific myth, since the subduction trenches have layered sediments. The most powerful evidence for biblical physics is how the galaxies visibly grew from naked globs to dusty growth spirals. The atomic clocks, the space matter takes up and its inertial properties all appear to change in parallel. Relational change is where things change together.

What I call biblical physics is contrary to modern science. It  is based on simple, visible evidence interpreted with clear principles from the Bible. How great will be the fall of western science before the power of God’s word, for His great glory.
