This blog seeks to interpret the Bible literally, rather than scientifically. A system of knowledge, such as science, has a fundamental assumption for a foundation. Interpreting the world with biblical principles results in a radically different earth history than the ones proposed by scientists. The evidence that supports a biblical earth history is neither mathematical nor complex. The evidence is visible because galactic history is visible, back to the creation era.

M63 and Biblical Cosmic History
M63 is a distant galaxy that possibly looks like our Milky Way. This photo shows the core and arms of the galaxy in color while the surroundings are shown as a negative to highlight the faint gas stream. The Milky Way is surrounded by a number of small satellite galaxies, some of which are connected to our galaxy by a long, thin river of hydrogen. The Magellanic stream is thicker near the satellite galaxies and also extends out in a short tail in front of the MCs. The simplest way to spot a hydrogen stream is with radio telescopes, since the cold, neutral hydrogen shines at a wavelength of 21 centimeters.
There are at least two possibilities for how streams of hydrogen and star streams came into existence. Scientists theorize that diffuse gas gravitates, falls, toward an astronomical object. Allegedly stars accreted from gas and gradually assembled into small galaxies. Large galaxies ingested may small galaxies to become giants like the Milky Way. The rivers of gas were allegedly pulled from dwarf galaxies by the tidal forces of the giant. Support for these theories is minimally based on visible evidence and mostly based on assumptions and assumption dependent mathematics.
Another explanation is simple and non mathematical. Perhaps the galaxies formed just as we observe. The history of the universe is the only history that is visible as it happened at many ranges back to the creation age. In the primordial universe we see equally spaced naked galaxies in chains. In some cases we see tenuous linkages between the distinct clumps. At closer ranges, we see that the galaxies are no longer naked, but are often surrounded by equally space blue globs. Galaxies are not sucking material inwards, because in closer jets, we follow how knots travel outwards from point sources. When we observe the continuum of galactic history, we see that galaxies grew from the insides outwards as streams of stars spread out and accelerated out. Galaxies cannot intrinsically grow unless the properties of matter intrinsically change. Indeed, we observe that the earliest galaxies shone at tiny fractions of the light frequencies of modern matter. The volume of matter evidently also changes along with the inertial properties as galaxies visibly grew. Relational changes cannot be measured in a lab because they affect everything: the scientific definitions, measuring units, instruments, laws and mathematical constants. Yet relational changes are visible because we see the past at many ranges (eras), how the galaxies formed.
Why do scientists claim that planets, stars and galaxies condensed out of diffuse gas? To answer that question one needs to examine the creed on which science was founded. The pagan Greek philosophers debated for centuries trying to find a way to discount the evidence that everything changes. Finally one of them, Aristotle, insisted that they could not invent science unless they assumed that some underlying property of all things does not change. Fifteen hundred years later the medieval monks adopted Aristotle’s system and simplified his idea to: the essence of substance is changeless. Science’s operational definitions, measuring units and mathematical laws were built on the creed that matter does not naturally change itself.
Biblical physics is not based on the idea of a pagan, but on the literal words of the Bible. The Apostle Paul used two Greek “together” verbs to describe how the whole creation changes. In the same passage he used two Greek “orderly arrangement” verbs to describe how the creation is enslaved to change (Greek phthora). Because biblical physics is based on the principle of change, a Bible student can accept universal changes exactly as we see them. This is remarkably different from what scientists do. They fill the universe up with vacuum processes and invisible matter to discount the visible history of how matter and galaxies intrinsically changed. Their historical creed forces them to invent vacuums that spread light to protect their empirical system.
The continuum of galactic history not only fits biblical physics, but agrees with the Hebrew text that describes how the heavens formed. According to the creation text, He placed the Sun, Moon and stars in the raqiya shamayim - the spread out sky. God continually calls the stars to come out as He spreads out the heavens like a tent to dwell in. Generations of astronomers measured with angular parallax a solar system that continued to spread apart. Spreading orbits are accelerating orbits.
The Bible states three times that the Earth also spreads out in unbroken continuity. We have simple support for this since the continents only fit together on a tiny globe without major seas. Subduction is a scientific myth since the sediments in the “subduction trenches” are layered and undisturbed. Clearly change is visible everywhere in the universe and only biblical physics can accept it as real. The history of spiral galaxies, such as M63, reveals that galaxies intrinsically grew outwards as the properties of matter continued to change.
A scientific creationist might demand to know how galaxies could grow when the Bible states that the world is young. Not a single verse in the Bible states that the Earth is young. Sadly, young earth and old earth creationists interpret the Bible with science, instead of grammar. Science was historically founded on the metaphysics of a pagan Greek. This foundational idea is even predicted in the Bible, yet they continue to interpret the text with science. No wonder both creation groups, just like evolutionary scientists, have trouble accepting visible cosmic history.
According to the literal text of the Bible, the universe is eons old. Yet the biblical genealogies also record only about 4,000 years til the birth of Jesus. How could both be true? The Bible clearly states that days and years for the son are shorter and worse than days and years for his fathers. All ancient people believed that the first generations lived for eons and that later generations lived comparatively short lives. Job, who lived about the time of Abraham, described how their faces doubled before they died. He mentions the drying of the sea as a marker for how long they lived. Drill cores from the Mediterranean reveal that it dried to dessert conditions and re flooded repeatedly. If we lived for geological ages, our faces would also grow thick brows. Yet the skulls of Neanderthal children did not have the thick brows of the grandparents.
How did M63 spread out into multiple spiral arms? How did it eject a companion galaxy that left trails of gas in it wake? Carefully consider the visible history of the universe that overwhelmingly supports biblical physics and biblical cosmic history. Think about it.
